Gresford District Historical Society
The Gresford district has an extensive and rich history extending back to the first settlements in the 1820’s and collecting, preserving and making accessible the stories, artifacts, documents and photographs which chronicle this history is the fundamental purpose of the Gresford Historical Society.
Our immediate priority is the achievement of our own building so that we can appropriately archive and make accessible our considerable collection. At present we are reasonably well advanced with this and are hopeful of being able to realize this goal in 2015.
New members are always welcome – especially if you have time and energy to contribute. A knowledge of Gresford history is NOT essential. We meet, (often rather informally) on the 2nd Monday in the month at 10:30 am in the Gresford RSL room – but not usually in June or January.
